World Peace
Interfaith Pilgrimage

Help create the change needed upon our planet

Mount Baldy, situated in the San Gabriel Mountains just east of Los Angeles, has been recognized as a Holy Mountain by the local Native Americans and other Spiritual groups for generations. Since 1959, members of the non-denominational organization, The Aetherius Society, have made pilgrimages to this mountain to offer prayers for world peace and healing. It is always a remarkable experience!

On Sunday August 9th, we held a special World Peace Interfaith Pilgrimage so that we could join in unison as one common humanity working for peace upon our world. All peoples were invited, either as an individual or as a cooperating group.

After the Pilgrimage, Ruth Broyde Sharone, Partner Cities Associate for the Parliament, was on the mountain to share the exciting details of the largest Interfaith gathering in the world, the upcoming global conference that will take place December 3-9, 2009 in Melbourne, Australia. Ruth screened a DVD about the Parliamnet twice during the event and helped answer participants' questions about the best way for them to participate in Melbourne.

The Experience

This was a powerful and intense spiritual experience that participants found enjoyable and truly memorable.

Spiritual pilgrims from all cultures have been climbing Holy mountains to send out energy to a suffering world throughout history. In these critical days, this spiritual energy is even more important to our world. Fortunately, in Southern California, it can also be extremely uplifting, beautiful and lots of fun - even healthy!  Read more >>
