Monterrey Pre-Parliament Event

We had a gathering of religious and civic leaders of various religious traditions that live and work in Monterrey, Mexico.

There were introductory remarks by Gerardo Puertas and an invitation to the Melbourne Parliament by Rosalía Lozano.

Prof. Ana Portnoy participated as key-note-speaker on the subject of The Interreligious Experience in Ancient Spain (Jews, Christians and Muslims).


After that, a panel of representatives from Buddhist, Catholic, Muslim and Protestant traditions addressed the subject of The Challenge of Poverty and The Role of Religious Traditions in Monterrey, Mexico.

Then a choral group of the Adventist tradition sang, and finally, a group of Baha’i, Buddhist, Christian and Jewish religious leaders offered benedictions.

FREE food and beverages were served at the end to all participants.
