Mattara Festival Multifaith Concert
An inclusive event that showcased and celebrated the many different cultural and religious communities in Newcastle and the Hunter Region, including Aboriginal, Anglican, Baha’i, Buddhist, Catholic, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Hare Krishna, Hindu, Jewish, Muslim, Quaker, Salvation Army, Sikh, Theosophists and the Uniting Church through song, dance, instruments and poetry. All joined in the finale “Amazing Grace” accompanied by a bagpipe and didgeridoo duet.
