Prof Burhanettin Tatar
Professor Burhanettin Tatar is the official Representative of the Presidency of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Turkey at the 2009 Parliament. He is a professor at Ondokuz Mayis University, Faculty of Theology, Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies, Islamic Philosophy. He is also a member of the Higher Committee of Religious Affairs. Burhanettin Tatar was born in Samsun in 1965. After graduating from Ondokuz Mayis University (Samsun, Turkey), Faculty of Theology, he studied in the field of Islamic theology for MA degree. He received his Ph.D. degree at The Catholic University of America (Washington, D.C., USA) in 1997. He continues his studies and teaching activities as full professor of Islamic philosophy in the same Faculty of Theology.
