Rabbi Philip Heilbrunn

Rabbi Philip Heilbrunn of St Kilda Hebrew Congregation is a highly gifted cantor and vocal artist of international reputation who regularly collaborates with the world’s greatest cantors and choirs. Blessed with a beautiful tenor voice of impressive range and power, Rabbi Heilbrunn has provided spiritual upliftment through his inspirational liturgical renditions in many prestigious Synagogues in South Africa, Australia, United States and Israel. Rabbi Heilbrunn talents are widely sought after as a concert artist.

With the late Rabbi Ronald Lubofsky, Rabbi Heilbrunn is a founder, the president and principal soloist of the MJMVC formed a decade ago. The Choir has performed a rich variety of Jewish music to great acclaim in Melbourne and Sydney. Under the inspired direction of conductor Henry Sachwald and Adrian Bartak, the choir takes pride in bringing the beauty and richness of the Jewish musical tradition to Jewish and general audiences.
