What are the benefits of joining the Partner Cities Network?
Joining the Partner Cities Network will open up new doors for a city. CPWR connects cities to the other thriving cities in the Partner Cities Network to achieve mutually beneficial harmonious and cooperative relationships. This fee-based program y provides your local interreligious movement with innovative ways to address the issues and desire of your local communities. Membership in the network provides you with the following tools and opportunities:
Partner Cities Consultation. The Council will provide Partner Cities with tools that could help strengthen commitment within their community for the interreligious movement. Resources include a set of guidelines, access to member's only Partner Cities Network webpages with additional resources, access to the Council's professional speakers guild, and a dedicated city page. A key feature of the consultation process is an annual goal setting session led by the Council.
Conduit to Other Cities. The Council serves as a conduit to other cities and organizations around the globe who are working toward achieving interreligious harmony in and among their residents and constituencies
Recognition. The Council provides recognition to cities for becoming Partner Cities. All Partner Cities will receive mention on the Council website. For those cities that are successful in their interreligious movement, the Council will seek to give them more public recognition at the Parliament events and through ongoing Council communications including the following:
- Prominent display on CPWR website with opportunity to post regular Partner City feeds and updates of successes
- Opportunity for inclusion in CPWR international newsletters and eblasts
- Opportunity to have a role in the 2014 Parliament event (and future Parliament events) which could serve as a catalyst for your local interreligious movement
Engage in Initiatives. Each Partner City will commit to adopting an initiative each year. Toolkits and guidelines will be provided to member Partner Cities around the world who will simultaneously implement initiatives such as:
- Multi-Faith Solidarity Pledge
- City-Wide Arts & Cultural Event
- Multi-Cultural Harmony Walk
Expanded Consultation from the Council. An optional opportunity that is available would be to enter into a customized consulting relationship with the Council. This arrangement, for additional customized fees, would be catered to provide your city with the appropriate area and depth of consultation.
