Rev. Dirk Ficca, departed as Executive Director of CPWR on September 14, 2012. Dirk is an ordained Presbyterian minister and prior to joining the Council served for eleven years as pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Benton Harbor, Michigan. “Rev. Dirk Ficca was severely criticized by conservative Presbyterians for suggesting that God might save Jews, Muslims, and other non-believers in Christ.” He along with staff and the board of trustees organized the Barcelona as well as Melbourne Parliament and assisted in the organizing of Cape Town and Chicago Parliaments. Dirk also teaches at DePaul University, the Lutheran School of Theology and Garrett Evangelical Theological Seminary.
