In this session, Hindu leaders, scholars, and practitioners, as well as interested parties, engage the Parliament’s signature document the Global Ethic and explore ways to integrate its moral commitments into initiatives on critical issues. The Global Ethic, a secular and widely collaborative document, elaborates five basic moral commitments shared by people of various religions, traditions, and regions. These commitments are discussed in terms of their relevance to Hindu texts, oral traditions, and contemporary community issues with the goal of preparing participants to take these discussions into temples, universities, and other places where Hindus grapple with moral issues
