Pre-Parliament Event Offers an Introduction to Religion in Conflict and Peacebuilding

The U.S. Institute of Peace (USIP) and Salam Institute for Peace and Justice are offering a special three-day workshop in preparation for the 2018 Parliament of the World's Religions, as an official Pathways to PoWR Pre-Parliament Event.

The workshop, hosted from October 29th-31st, uses the “Religion in Conflict and Peacebuilding,” an Action Guide developed by USIP, Salam Institute for Peace and Justice, and the Network for Religious and Traditional Peacemakers to offer a practical, hands-on course focused on religion and conflict analysis, identifying the peacebuilding roles of religious actors, including in mediation and reconciliation, and ensuring religious peacebuilding is inclusive.

The pre-parliament workshop will offer practical guidance and skills training with ample case studies. It will be facilitated by two professionals with broad global experience in religious peacebuilding.

This workshop is a limited, by-application opportunity for attendees of the Parliament of the World’s Religions. The deadline to apply is September 4, 2018.

Apply Today!

Those selected to participate in this workshop will be informed of the decision by September 14. Participants are responsible for covering cost of and arranging hotel and travel.
