South Carolina, USA
The state of South Carolina has a vibrant and growing interfaith community with a number of organizations operating on local, statewide and in at least one case, the Atlantic Institute, operating in multiple states.
Interfaith Partners of South Carolina is perhaps the largest interfaith organization in the state and has a number of local affiliates from Greenville to Beaufort. A number of years ago Interfaith Partners of South Carolina partnered with the governor’s office to create January as South Carolina’s interfaith harmony month, and each year thereafter the governor’s proclamation has been read at the state capital.
