1000 Women in Religion Project: A partnership between the Women’s Taskforce of the Parliament of the World's Religions and the Women's Caucus of the AAR/SBL

Room 716B
Description:
The Women's Task Force of the Parliament of the World's Religions is partnering with the Women's Caucus of the American Academy of Religion and Society of Biblical Literature to highlight women's contributions to religious, spiritual, and wisdom traditions worldwide. Women's contributions are under-recognized in world religions. We seek to add 1,000 names and contributions of women to Wikipedia, the largest encyclopedia in the world. We will review the development of this project and share highlights from the women on our list. We will also answer questions about the project in general and provide an overview of the process for becoming a Wiki-editor.
