Beacons of Dharma: Visions of Ecology and Sustainability

Room 106
This multi-faith session showcases the inspired teachings and exemplary lives of recent “beacons” (or illuminating path-finders) of the Dharma traditions. Coming from Hindu and Jain world-visions, each “beacon" offers unique constructive solutions to urgent planetary issues including sustainability with justice and care for the Earth. In a world torn by greed and injustice, and thirsty for harmony with Nature, these outstanding spiritual figures will be shown to offer fresh, compelling, and much-needed sources of hope. Experts will celebrate and offer insights on the ecological visions and practical teachings of Paramahamsa Yogananda, Vandana Shiva, Gurani Anjali, and Sri Acharya Tulsi.
