Engaging Christians and Evangelicals in Interfaith Exploration

Room 706
Description:
This session will share stories of transformation and effective strategies for engaging Christian and Evangelical college students in interfaith learning and exploration. Such engagement is more important now than ever, but it is often difficult to engage Christian students, and Evangelicals especially, in interfaith exploration. Competing truth claims, exclusive truth claims, and Evangelical proselytizing—all pose challenges for effective and respectful interfaith engagement. The sessions includes Christian, Jewish, and Muslim presenters, with examples of significant interfaith experiences with mainline Protestant and Evangelical students.
