Introduction to the Centre for Civic Religious Literacy

Room 711
Description:
As researchers, we recognize that a lack of religious literacy exists across sectors and industries, e.g. corporations, public education, and law-enforcement, but that all facets of society must work together to foster religious literacy. In this workshop, we introduce our new Canada-wide organization that offers a simultaneous and multi-sectoral approach that aims to 1) promote religious literacy, and 2) recognize the intersectionality of religious and non-religious identities. Through small group discussions, we will share strengths and challenges of our context, sector, and topic specific approach in order to collaborate with attendees and co-create innovative solutions for inclusion.
