Theatrical Presentation: Many Mothers, Many Fathers
Room Festival Stage
Sanskrit texts from ancient India tell the story of King Chitraketu of the Surasena Dynasty. The mighty monarch fell into depression when he could not have a child as heir to the throne until a sadhu, a holy man, made that casual but divine visit and offered some advice. A son was born but this triggered a vehement jealousy into the hearts of his step mothers, culminating into a tragedy which eventually terminates into a dynamic resolve. This entertaining theatrical performance, with its universal message of vice and virtue, sends emotions soaring high only to come to a soft spiritual landing in the end.
