Towards Global Understanding, Reconciliation, and Change: One Person at a Time - Jewish Modeling of Forgiveness
The Psalmist notes: God has made humanity "little less than divine." (JPS translation of Psalm 8:6.) It is necessary for people to seek forgiveness and to be forgiven for the hurt that is engendered because all are human. The practice of forgiveness is one that can contribute "Toward Global Understanding, Reconciliation, and Change: One Person at a Time," hence the title of this didactic/experiential and musical workshop. Judaism models a ritual of forgiveness between human beings and the Divine that practitioners of Judaism, and as clergy (Rabbi and Rabbinic Student), value. The experiences and "take aways" of this workshop will be valuable to people of all faiths and beliefs.
