What Would Gandhi Say? Nonviolence and Gandhian Philosophy & Practice Today

Scholars of religion, philosophy, and peace studies will explore various dimensions of nonviolence and Gandhi's philosophy and practice for confronting hate, violence, and war. The panel will focus on a critical analysis of Gandhian philosophy and practices, from various points of view that are relevant today, in order to disrupt the vicious cycles of hate and violence. Furthermore, the focus will be on various specific strategies that Gandhi mobilized, including love-force, interfaith dialogue, and direct action, in order to create a space for a culture of inclusion and reconciliation among people of different backgrounds and ideologies.
