Who Cares? A Youth Gathering to Explore Empathy and Compassion in Society
The Youth Gathering provides a space for young people 14 to 18 years of age to explore the roles of empathy and compassion in society. They are provided with concrete tools to cultivate compassion for themselves and others, positioning them to foster healthy relationships in their homes, workplaces, and communities. The Gathering is lead by two facilitators who introduce exercises and tools during the course of the event. It features 2-4 live speakers, including professionals and young people who share stories of how compassion has transformed their lives and work or scientists and psychologists who specialize in the study of compassion.
