Over the last decade, the United Methodist Church has worked to create a training ministry in order to develop leaders in ecumenical and interreligious engagement. This ministry includes online options, formation for young adults, monthly connections, and annual workshops. Churches Uniting in Christ is now developing their own training ministry based on these models, which have already trained hundreds of Christians in how to be more ecumenical and engaged with interreligious partners. This session highlights the importance of this kind of formation, goes through the kinds of training developed, and offers time for interaction and questions.
