Understanding and Transforming Systemic Religious Patriarchy

Session Description:

Religions around the world have suppressed women’s rights while excluding women from roles of religious authority. Religious roles are different and unbalanced between men and women and patriarchal religious conditioning has instilled in many women a deep sense of inferiority, sinfulness, or shame. The presenters share their experiences on the intersection of religion and patriarchy and provide examples and strategies of how women have persisted throughout history in seeking a deep connection with their religions and the Sacred Feminine.
