Pardeep Kaleka is a licensed trauma therapist, co-founder of Serve2Unite and an award winning community relations columnist for Milwaukee Independent. He is co-author of The Gift of Our Wounds. Pardeep’s journey into this work began after his father, a first generation immigrant, was gunned down during the attack on The Sikh Temple in Oak Creek, WI on August 5, 2012. As a former Milwaukee Police Officer and educator in the inner city, Pardeep is no stranger to the never ending battle against violence and has appeared on NBC, FOX, CNN, NPR, “The View,” and in The Huffington Post and The Atlantic.
