World Council of Muslims for Interfaith Relations

World Council of Muslims for Interfaith Relations, WCMIR, was founded in June 2001 at a meeting of some sixty interfaith scholars and activists gathered from all over the world at the headquarters of the Islamic Foundation, Leicester, United Kingdom.  Since then it has been striving to foster interfaith relations among people of different faiths. Its activities include lectures, seminars, workshops, conferences, and participation and cooperation in interfaith projects initiated by different organizations in many parts of the world.

WCMIR has worked in cooperation with the United Nations initiatives for Peace and many other national and international organizations.  WCMIR President and other members of the Board of Directors as well as its regional representatives have been active in different parts of the world in many projects aimed at achieving peace, mutual cooperation, and understanding among people of the world.
